Ch Dolric Moritz v. Gestern, CD

Sonnenschein Kennel was established in 1973 with the purchase of our first Giant Schnauzer, "Gesi" Ch. Dolric Moritz v. Gestern, CD. This first wonderful dog is the reason we are Sonnenschein....built on sunny dispositions in animals of quality! Gesi was popular among breeders and sired over thirty titled offspring, many with multiple group placements. He was the sire of the 1982 G.S.C.A. National Specialty winner Ch. Terresta's Hallmark v Gesi, CD. Gesi was among the top ten producers from 1978 through 1982, he was #1 in 1981 and 1982 tied with his son Ch. Blake v Sonnenschein, CD who was also #1 again in 1983.

"Gesi" Gesi acquired multiple group placements including a Group III at Westminster where he was Best of Breed in 1977 and 1978. Another son Ch. Von Gestern's Shot in the Dark was Best of Breed at Westminster in 1981 and Hallmark was Best of Breed there in 1982. Over the years we have had many Gesi sons and daughters who have produced well and collected National and Regional Specialty wins. We have purchased bitches from El Lobo, Alanbar, Halcyon, Terresta, Von Gestern and more recently Skansen Kennel. Ch. Sonnenschein Xults Mt. Nitany "Diablo" traces his ancestry back to Gesi.
